How to Securely Pack Your Shipment

Shipping items across cities or countries? Then you know the importance of good packaging. A damaged product not only frustrates your customer but can cost you reputation and money. Here are our expert tips on how to pack your shipment safely:

1. Choose the Right Box

Always use a new, sturdy cardboard box. Double-wall boxes are recommended for fragile or heavy items. Avoid reusing old boxes with weak corners or tears.

2. Wrap Items Individually

Each item should be wrapped using bubble wrap, foam, or kraft paper to protect it from scratches and impacts. For electronics or glass items, this step is essential.

3. Fill Empty Spaces

Prevent movement inside the box by filling gaps with air pillows, peanuts, or newspaper. If items move during transit, damage is more likely.

4. Seal it Tight

Use high-quality packing tape to seal the top and bottom. Apply the "H-taping" method for better strength — tape across both seams and down the middle.

5. Label Clearly

Attach the shipping label securely. For fragile items, add a sticker that says "FRAGILE" on multiple sides. If contents must stay upright, indicate with an "UP" arrow.

6. Use Waterproofing

Wrap important documents or items in plastic or waterproof bags before putting them in the box. This protects them from rain, leaks, or spills.

7. Consider Double Boxing

For extremely valuable or sensitive items, double-boxing adds another layer of protection. Place the padded item inside a smaller box, then cushion that box inside a larger one.

By following these steps, your shipment will arrive safe, sound, and ready to impress. Good packaging reflects professionalism and builds trust with your customers.
